MS2A Resin
This is a reduced ketone resin based on methylcyclohexanone. The advantage of this product is its optical properties, its solubility in non-polar solvents like Mineral Spirits, and its greater stability in comparison to the natural resins. You can control its somewhat brittle nature by adding Cosmolloid 80H as a gloss modifier cum plasticizer. 500g is considered to be sufficient to varnish 20 "average" size paintings.
